Forced adoptions in the GDR/ SBZ in the period 1945 - 1989
The Department of Medical Psychology and Medical Sociology, together with the Medical School Berlin, is conducting the study "Forced Adoptions in the GDR/SBZ in the Period from 1945 to 1989", funded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Home Affairs. As part of the study, contemporary witnesses are being sought who would like to share their experiences and experiences relating to the topic. One concern of the study is to be able to better understand how the processes and structures in the context of forced adoptions were designed, as well as to shed light on the perspective of children, parents and affected families. To this end, the research group would like to conduct personal interviews and is therefore looking for those affected who have had experiences with the topic of forced adoption in the GDR/SBZ. These can be children and parents who were affected by forced adoption in the GDR/SBZ between 1945 and 1989, but also adoptive parents, other relatives or people who witnessed the adoption process.
